Aerobatic ex-military warbird fighter

by JoyFlights on October 18, 2011

If you are a fan of the movie Top Gun, you will not want to miss out on the warbird aerobatic flight. The aircraft you will be flying in is an ex-military warbird fighter trainer. You will be able to experience some history while you are also experiencing the thrill of an aerobatic flight filled with high G force maneuvers. If you have a weak stomach you might want to lay low for this one. The pilot wants to take you through some crazy tricks and maneuvers but will cater to your needs. If you don’t want to go too high or fast the pilot will tone the flight down a notch. If you want to experience this flight to its fullest potential the pilot will make sure you get your money’s worth.

One of the only ways to experience the feeling of weightlessness is in space. Now you can feel what it is like to weigh absolutely nothing when the pilot introduces you to maneuvers with over 4G’s. This feeling can turn your stomach a little but will be worth it in the end. The pilot will take you through the multiple maneuvers and tricks he told you about before the flight started. You will have a total of 20 minutes in the air to go through these tricks and rolls. The entire trip will last up to 35 minutes. The extra 15 minutes includes the instructions in the aircraft before the pilot actually takes off. They will also include a debriefing section after you have landed back on the ground.

Aside from the crazy maneuvers and aerobatic tricks you will be experiencing, you will also be able to see some breathtaking views of the coastline. These views are only obtainable through this flight. You will be able to see aerial views of the cost near Melbourne. This includes everything from Bells Beach to the Great Ocean Road. If you are a sucker for great scenery you will not want to leave the air. You want to make sure you bring your camera so you can take pictures of these views. Photographs are the best way to hold onto a memory for ever. After the entire experience is over you will be handed a certificate with everything you did for the day. This will include the different maneuvers your pilot took you through and the max G record.

Havilland Tiger Moth Melbourne

by JoyFlights on October 18, 2011

One of the best ways to enjoy the scenery of Melbourne is inside an open cockpit aircraft. There is no feeling like flying over these landmarks with nothing covering your head. You will feel like you are going back in time when you take the Havilland tiger moth aerobatic flight. Not only will you be able to enjoy the open cockpit feature, you will also be able to see views of the area like no other. You will also be a part of some crazy and unforgettable tricks and maneuvers. The pilot will take you through multiple loops, turns and rolls.

Before this experience takes off, the pilot will take you through a few different tutorials. The first one will include information about the safety features. If you have never experienced a flight in a plane like this, you probably want to know everything you can about the safety features. He will explain where you will be sitting and show you the flight suit and goggles you will be wearing. He will then take you around the aircraft to show you the different controls in the cock pit. Almost everyone enjoys seeing the cockpit of an aircraft. Since these are restored aircrafts you will be able to basically go back in time while you are observing everything. This is also a great opportunity to take some pictures of the plane while you are still on the ground. He will also make sure to inform you about all of the tricks he plans on performing while you are in the plane. If you have a weak stomach, you can tell him to take it easy when it comes to the loops and turns. If you love the adrenaline rush, you can tell him to practically go crazy with the tricks and rolls.

The main difference between this flight and others is the fact that you are in an open cockpit aircraft. When the pilot performs these maneuvers you will have the wind in your hair and be able to have a completely different experience. This aircraft will take you back in time to the older days with this open cockpit technique. Another great feature is that you will be sitting in the front of the plane. Most of the flights make you sit behind the pilot. When you sit in the front you will see views you can usually only imagine.
